I’ve always had a passion for customer service, even dating back to my first job at Just For Feet, which was the world’s largest shoe store that had a location near Hamilton Place Mall. I thrived while getting to interact and to help people through that job, and that passion has continued into my professional dental career.
My Credentials
I attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga for my undergraduate, and then attended the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry for my dental education. I am a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Chattanooga Area Dental Society as well. I started my professional dental career about six years ago now with a great friend and colleague, of whom I worked for and learned from for four and a half years. After that, I started my own dental practice here in Ooltewah, Tennessee.
My Personal Life
I was born in Chattanooga and attended the St. Nicholas School and the Bright School for my elementary education. I attended the McCallie School for middle and highschool. I grew up playing various sports such as tennis, soccer, golf, basketball, and baseball. I got to spend my childhood on a cattle farm and got to ride horses and ATV’s. I also spent time singing and playing guitar (which most patients will find me humming a tune while they get their dental work done). Given the opportunity, I’ve been known to take to the karaoke stage.
I just recently got married to a beautiful Ooltewah gal. We have 3 wonderful dogs. I love being outdoors hiking, kayaking, stand-up paddling, or fishing. I’m a family man, and am fortunate to have a large beautiful family so close to me in this area.
Involvement in the Community
I’m so blessed to have the opportunity to own my own dental practice here in Ooltewah and to be able to serve the community. We’ve partnered with the Samaritan Center to help raise awareness and donations to some of their community charities. I’ve involved myself as a member of the Chattanooga Chamber and attend many Ooltewah/Collegedale Chamber Council events. I’m also the secretary for and a proud board member of the Ooltewah Harrison Education Foundation (aka D9), who helps to raise extra money for the schools in the Ooltewah and Harrison areas. As a practice owner, I hope to be a positive influence in the community and an added resource to any neighbors that may need assistance.
Patient Experience
I’m a very technology oriented person and have implemented many technology tools into my practice. Overall, the technologies that have been implemented facilitate a minimally-invasive, patient centered experience. I’m a founding member of the company Rhinogram, which is a technology that text-enables existing business landlines to text freely with their patients/clients/customers. This enables us the ability to have anyone text our main office line (423.713.5555) to make an appointment.
